The International Art Workshop in Stallaini, Sicily, is an annual artist residency event now in its eleventh year. Michel Dufresne and four other artists/sculptors from Atelier SKÜLPT 303 have been invited for the 2023 event: Lap_idèo '23. 

In 10 intensive days, he and fellow sculptor Martin Aubin created a Land Art project featuring an assemblage of stone, black Etna dust and water, highlighting the symbolic and mythical nature of the site. A complex system of rainwater harvesting through channels and underground basins.  

To underline the idea and feeling of the sacred, a small stone was collected from a grave in a necropolis and placed at the top of the stele created in situ, in a sort of reliquary, accompanied by a black stone from Etna.
